When you weigh yourself at different times of day the reading changes quite alot, the scientific approach to find your true weight would be to measure the dry mass only. That would mean leaving you in a 60degree cupboard for a week or so. The unfortunate side effect being that you can only do it once.
I had an electro body analysis last year. They attach electordes to you and it calcualtes your total percentage body fat, water and dry mass. I think my dry mass was about 60kg! So i'm only a little fella afterall

I had mine out about this time last year (also by surgery) and they told me to rest up for a week and eat soup, but infact i went training the very same day and was back on the sausage and chips the following afternoon.
Doctors don't know what they're going on about...bunch of pansies...

i knew someone would say something like that wez! i weigh myself the same time every single day [the morning one is my main one i keep an eye on and work from] on the same scales, so the variables are kept as constant as i can keep them. i was 85.0kg ALL afternoon from maybe 4 readings desperate to get into the 84's! i've been in the 85's for the past week or so.......BUT i have been allowing myself the odd alcoholic beverage on an eve, so that's not helping. my aim though is to get to 80kg before too long and somewhere mid 70's ultimately. i wasn't even fat at 94kg either, so man at 75 or so i'll be ripped to shreads

weighted myself at the usual time and GET IN THERE MY SON - 84.5kg ;D nice one sharpey lad! haha obsessive, nah not at all - hence my little treats every week or so like a big fat indian takeaway and huge naan bread ;D hey, i even had 3 bottles of kronenberg last night, so i ain't that obsessed, if i was like any of those model girls all i would eat is a slither of cheese like every 6 hours or so a typical day's food is - 4am - two weetabix [and milk] with half a banana, two large chopped strawberries and a hand full of raspberries. cup of coffee. 8am - other half of banana and a hand full of grapes, occasionally a cereal bar like nutrigrain or similar. 12pm - mixed salad leaves with cucumber, grated carrot, pickeled onions and a hand full of prawns with a little thousand island dressing. 4pm - 2 crackers with a little cheese, a hand full a grapes again with a glass of orange or apple juice [fresh] 7pm - mixed salad leaves and a medium sized chicken fillet or steak, with a little french dressing or something like a lemon pepper dressing. water is drunk throughout the day. after that a couple of whiskies or every few days a bottle of beer. the key to me doing it is always having the right foods in the house and having no temptation to get a take away! and also smaller sized meals but more often too!

Thats still pretty hefty for a little fella! I won't be happy until i can hear your ribs rubbing together. lol When you look in the mirror do you see a fat person staring back??? Seriously though, whats the least you have ever weighed since you stopped growing? For me its 79kg 12stone 4lb when i first came to Finland and i started training again but ate the same as before. I have to admit that i looked damned skinny then and certainly am not planning to lose that much again any time soon.
