weight has hit a major sticking point since i hit the 16st 12lb mark.. oh how frustrating i have found it.. especially in the last week.. the temptatio nto throw it all in has been great as the frustration built.
I have not thrown it in though and i have decided to take a harder look at amyself and the way i am training.. i have been training twice a week which is fine for a 14 year old but not to good for a 26 year old... running is now the key for me.... interval training being the one area i want to look at. i don't want to spend too long jogging around developling my slow twich muscle fibres... the park is calling and hopefully the next 12 lbs will be left in my dust...

Stick at it. Being stagnant for a while is much much better than putting it back on or regressing so make some small adjustments and work hard at it again. You can do it!

boiled rice.. cold peas and plain chicken breast is quite plain and boring... but is obviously essential to my long term aims of getting the weight right down...
the day before the wedding i weighed in at 16st12lbs
i have had a couple of weeks where i have veg'd out after the wedding and now i am back on the diet with a renewed drive to get to my targets.. still under 17st which is good considering my start weight back in May of over 18st..

as part of my overall training which includes my weight loss, post disaster year 2007 where i had 8months of inactivity after injuring my knee, torn posterior meniscus and pulled medial collateral ligament in my blocking leg. My pb from 2006 is 54.93m and before i injured my knee i had done 54.10m. This season has been about me getting back into the event and finding some answers for myself.. Today i finally found the answer.. I went slowly down the runway and actually ran from my right into the left block and before i knew it the javelin had gone. It landed at 53.30m.. Not a pb but increased my season best from 52.76m.. Again not distances which will set the world alight but to me it has answered a lot of questions i've been asking myself.. I now know the feelings of a throw i've been looking for since i don't know when. I'm happy i've now got a platform to work off for next season where i finally hope i can get into the top 50 in the uk :-)
