I Know most people on here will have a good point of view on this but what do you class as a good gym training session for us javelin throwers? this should be applicable to nearly every 1 on here at some point.

we go to the gym........fair enough, we are getting fit/strong, which is great!!! but the session must be something which is both benefitting and specific......................doing 3/12 bicep curls with 20kg dumbells in front of a mirror with a vest on isn't it!!!!! although i have been there!!!! ;D specificity is the key word, doing something whether it be some form of shoulder condtioning, pullovers [with a 'specific' javelin type grip] or ankle and hip condtioning making it as specific to the way you throw and your style is very important so you can transfer this and cross it over to the throw.
