looks all round ok, but i would try to land on the final right foot with it pointing at about 2 o clock its almost 3 right now and its causing you to sit on the right a bit too much. I love the way your upper body and shoulder get around to deliver the throw from such a nice 'rangey' position. The only thing holding you back from really knocking the paint off it is the squashy plant leg, but if you can get the right foot down a bit better it will move your hip faster and you will have a better chance to get the left down straight. When that happens you'll feel a bit like you've been given an unexpected shove by Geoff Capes but your spear will be in orbit.

If you look at the dates of the posts the pics were from a couple of weeks ago. This young lady has improved re markedly since then and her last post was to celebrate the fact that she is throwing well over 40mtrs. As you both so rightly say the right foot was a problem and she was getting stuck in no-mans land because she could not got the hip through. She now gets over her foot pretty well and does get the ramp and extention that is needed for a clean release. Be interesting to see what she does in competition after her hols. Trust the Welsh to come up with another gem. Im only looking after her whilst Alex her coach is training for the world masters but you should mark her down for a squad day Nije shes good potential. There you go Nije taken from last night plenty to work on yet but getting there.

So are you saying she is rubbish? I was trying to show the difference between the original photos and her now straighter left leg with a more upright stance and even with the javelin having gone her right foot is not off the ground.
Cheers Nije

The picture of Matti delivering is plainly awful, so why you used it as a comparison was my question. Nothing more than that so don't go looking for things that aren't there mate!!!
Sheffield was a picture today - I never new they had sun up there!!!!!!!!

Jan set his previous World record there! As a Welshman born in York you should be a little bit more appreciative of your home County! Not a lot of people know that do they Nige?! It must be difficult coming to terms withthe County of your birth providing you with warm sunshine, good throwing conditions, probably the best of the year so far and a really great new British/UK record from Matti (congratulations to him! ). I was around when your Dad celebrated your birth with a double twisting barani type back somersault with full twist in his FRONT garden( on the trampoline of course)! I've never seen anything like it in my life. Congratulations to you both and don't be so hard on Yorkshire and Yorkshire fowk!

Hi Phil
I'm a northern yorkshire boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and was present when Zelezny broke both of the world records at sheffield as I was one of the bit part players who was making him llok good!! I was at the world students in 1991 and did you know papa BEvan was part of the organisation team for that.
Thanks for the kind words but it Matti had to do it and TBH am glad that he got it together as I am sure he will move on from there now. He had been underachieving as far as I was concerned as he was better than 58m and some of the other rubbish he had thrown. Now he actually believes he can do it after me and others telling him. His right foot is still horendous but he'll ge that sorted.
