hey can any one help
returned to throwing after nearly a year out but have come back with a nasty shoulder problem, phyio has reduced it but wherever i go to there is never a definite answerer! the pain is generally located at the top and center of right shoulder and pain runs down the elbow, i stretched nerve and have had deep frictioning done on it but nothing is sorting it completely.
any ideas of what could the actual problem be and exercises to loosen shoulders and then strengthen it to stop it coming back
thanks emz x x

Have you had a scan on it to find out what the problem is? We had a talk on shoulder problems last weekend at the conference in Finland. Their stock answer seemed to be keyhole surgery, and prognosis seemed good after that, although there were many different kinds of injuries with a greater or lesser degree of success.
Therefore, unless you know exactly what type of shoulder injury it is, then I think exercises won't be particularly useful, and in fact, could exacerbate the problem.
