Just started the long old slog of winter and i thought I'd put up a quick post to say a few things!
Been a great breakthrough season for me and i'd like to thank the people who have supported me over the last few yrs and saw the potential in me and had faith. Anyone who was there on that day in may when i nearly went over 80m will know how much it means to me!
Thanks very much javclub for being there when i need to give some banter haha
All in all a season to look back on and say "thats where the belief really started"
A whole winter now to work hard and reap the benefits when it's sunny again!
Cheers

on a personal note it's been a good season for me. Threw my furthest for 2 years, didn't sustain any serious time consuming injuries and threw more times competitively since about 2000. On a coaching side i picked up 3 national medals, 2 schools medals, 1 uk schools games medal, 4 south england champ medals and 8 county medals. Picked up 3 new throwers and lost one due to work commitments(will be training near to her work because me distance/time constraints)

Well done Sam. A great achievement for you this year. Do you think we will have any male competitors in the throwing events in London 2012?

Keep your progress posted H it would be interesting to hear what your winter goals are from the perspective of achieving 80m next season. (i think you could do it given the right conditions and some smart training). Aside from all the UKA politics etc its really what we, our coaches and training partners do over the next 6 months that will be the biggest determining factor in next seasons outcome.
Yeah like you said H, javclub and other such social gatherings are an awesome way to feed off and gets things moving in the right direction. Hopefully when the new site is up and running it will become even more useful. EVS- SAM......I'm willing to help if needed.

bad year all-round for coventry. I hear there was a big bust up after the last BAL match, your team manager resigned and the club didn't enter into the play off match so you have been relegated directly out of the BAL back into the midland league.
Got any information on that?

Not sure about the bustup we never had a team for the playoffs it was the same day as some road running champs so we couldn't field a team .we are now in midlands div 2 due to our midlands team dropping also
