Suprised no predictions on here so here we go - think distances could be big.
Thork - 90.80 Pit - 89.72 Timmu - 88.04 PB

1st Vadims 2nd Thork 3rd A Finn.....perm 1 from 4.
Not sure we'll see any 90+. Reckon 88 will be enough to win.
Shame the Germans don't have any realistic contenders. The support the crowds have given to the throwers has been brilliant....just imagine how they'd have got behind Boris or Hecht.

Hmmm. Was thinking that it could be a 'short' throw to win as it's been mostly quiet this season. Post Olympic blues or just quiet, waiting for Berlin? Before posting earlier I went with the waiting for Berlin option! We shall see PS - realised on reading back my post I'd spelt Teemu wrong, oops ;D

I have to say it looks like Vasilevskis should get in amongst the regulars.
1. Vadims 2. Teemu 3. Tero
I know the Tork never does well in Qual. but something is not quite right at the moment.

Pretty uninspiring stuff. Complete walk in the park for Thork.

Yep - was right with Tork throwing big but apart from the Cuban all the rest were poor. Without doing some research, bronze must be the lowest distance since the new spear came about!

So what do I know? What do we all know? Obviously the Tork was holding something back again. Congratulations to him.
Well done to those that thought he would win. Nobody could have predicted 2nd and 3rd with Tero, Vadims and Teemu in the Field.
I remember Murakami from Annecy, WJ's in 1998 when he got the Bronze behind David. He threw consistently in atrocious conditions that day. Hardus Pienaar, a couple of days short of his 17th Birthday won the Silver and went on to be WJ Champion two years later. I do not recall Murakami doing anything else since, apart from being Japanese Champion nine times !!

My money was on Thork... he never throws far in qualifiers and he is so much more relaxed than the others... Impressed with the Cuban tho, apart from his silly celebrations that lost him that big throw in the qualifiers!
