Ant, the way you're going this year, nothing would surprise me. The world record for the golf ball is very beatable, at only 120m.
Longest throw (Cricket ball)
A cricket ball (155g 5.25oz) was reputedly thrown 128.6 m (422 ft) by Robert Percival, a left-hander, on Durham Sands racecourse on Easter Monday, 18 April 1882.
Longest throw of a golf ball
The longest throw is 120.24m by Stefan Uhr (Sweden) at Prästholmen, Mora, Sweden on August 20, 1992.

I have tried to throw the golf ball before and it is very addictive, you cant stop, you will not believe how much pain i went through. After what felt like 1000 throws, i thought my arm had broken, and i could not move it for more than two weeks. Good luck. P.S i was only young at the time and did not know when to stop.
