I see the TV coverage for javelin was up to its usual standard yesterday. Suppose musn't complain as they did show all of Steve Backleys throws. That six outdone the total coverage of the rest of the competition that was shown, 1 for Nick Nieland, 1 for Mick Hill, 1 for Ivanov, 1 for Harris & 1 for Thorkindsen. So they showed 5 of the 10 competitors & 11 out of 48 throws Another words the coverage was crap. I hope this isn't what we have to look forward to during the Olympics.

Nah in the Olympics they will use the interactive service like they did in the world champs last year so you can watch the whole comp uninterrupted. I went to Crystal Palace last night and it was great, definitely more to come from Backley as the tail was coming down on release slightly even on his 83.42m effort but even so a really good solid performance from him. Fingers crossed.

One more thing about the Crystal Palace comp, in the warm up Boris Henry was throwing 81/82m off 5 and 7 strides! Then he threw 71 on his first throw and pulled out through injury.
