The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund is now accepting applications. Very easy to find on the net. This fund pays out to "ranked" athletes aged 15-23 (I think)
Also if you live in the south, there is the Arthur JC Kendal fund. You need to send a SAE to them. Or PM me and I have a scanned in copy. This fund pays out to people who are struggling financially, not necessarily "ranked". It's for athletes aged 15-20 (I think)
These 2 excellent organisations can hand out quite a lot (from £100-£500.
If you need any help with the forms just ask someone (or me), as I've done a few of them in the past.
When listing your expenses: put everything down:
Petrol, taxis, trains, Kit, trainers, javelins, med balls, cost of club membership, entry fees, accommodation, track fees etc etc etc. Add it all up and you'll come to quite a big number PER YEAR.
All the best
Jezza ;D

Ron Pickering grants have all been awarded for this year - applications closed in November I think. They tend to be awarded to people who have won medals at the national age group comps or English Schools.
