also you can expect to add 17% for VAT and possible import duty on top of that - probably more in the region of £650 - just be careful buying and importing from the USA/abroad (not EU countries of course) - I think Slinger recently got stung on that when buying jav boots

you dont think you have 2 pay tax or import duty it says unless you are from another certain country it is included in the price, but you might have to pay for the currency to change from £ to $

before you buy, check on the HM Customs and Excise website and phone them - they will advise better than I can. Fairly certain you will pay VAT, and have heard similar stories like that before.

yeah dobster but not jav boots, but some fancy shoes for our lass from aus - cost me an extra 70 odd quid, than expected.
certainly customs charges apply from the US aswell, as a postie i see every day people being charged extra.
505 quid for a carbon airglider.....can't you get them for something around that anyway?

Hi Joedund,
I have an Orbit Carbon that you are welcome to borrow. It sometimes fails at the weigh in because it is a fraction short (I think the person I got it from broke it and tried to stick it on.) Fine for practice though.
But a javelin's a javelin and you're welcome to borrow it.
The best advice I was given on javelins was "If you pick it up and it gives you the horn" (Don't mean to be rude here, just can't translate any better), then that's the one for you.
I personally don't like airgliders. I prefer Champions and OTE's. But that's just me.
If you want the spear let me know and we'll sort out the logistics.
Jezza
