I am working on a brand new YouTube video. The video will be a sequence of 84 collages of Zelezny throwing 95.66m. I will be using the colours from the 2012 logo. I am looking for a javelin thrower that is also a muscian that would like to work with me on this video. Anyone out there interested can email me at roaldbradstock.com cheers Roald The links below are two YouTube Videos I have done previously: Javelin - Roald Bradstock: hk.youtube.com/watch?v=7fIgKI-nKMYLong Jump: Phil Raschker hk.youtube.com/watch?v=9TV_nhuOsVg

Fellow members of the forum,
I'm truly staggered that you haven't inundated Roald with questions about improving the performance of yourselves and your athletes.
On the one hand we are saying that our performance in the throws is poor, on the other hand we don't use the opportunity to pick the brains of a guy like Roald.
What a shame that the typical javelin coach in this country either thinks they know everything and won't seek external (ie someone else) help, or they don't have the people/social skills to ask for help.
This scenario in my opinion is the main answer to the question "Why don't we have a hatful of (world) class throwers." The other main problem is that nobody at any of the 3,467 QANGOs bothers to ask our top throwers what they require.
This is not meant as a negative post; it's meant to a) get coaches to improve their people skills and network up and down the food chain and b) let's hear what our top throwers require; measure this against what Backley, Hill, Nieland and Bevan required, do some "gap analysis", then plan to fill the gap.
Not rocket science
Jezza
PS Please will people stop referring to fellow athletes, who turn up at their clubs, as "My athlete". This is so disrespectful to the athlete.
