Gscogne was a checky little lad apparently - Hullit was onoe fo the numerous Dutch kids we had come over due to the dutch players connection who played for ipswich.
Dalian Atkinson who layed for Villa and osme foregin club played in my team as did craig forest (goalkeeper) Canadian - and a few who you'd all not remember. Played rugby with Paul Bushnell (jav thrower) Jon Ridgeon (hurdler) and MArtin Offiah among others for various teams and regions. Let's hear about slinger now!!!!

what my sporting life? i played football in loads of positions, always liked to be up front really, put my best position was centre back funnily enough as i had enough pace to keep with strikers, but lacked aerial prowess! i enjoyed rugby more tbh, i was a centre and i played for a local team called the vale of lune as a kid and loved it.
i was always bit stronger than most kids of my age when growing up, due to me maturing early, but my best attribute was my aggression, never before have young kids seen such fury!
my temperament suits lots of sports really well, in that i am very calm and placid, as everyone knows, yet when i want i switch on and i see the green mist and all of a sudden i'm a super human being! the like never been seen before on earth! ;D

When I used to train at white hart lane indoors next to the pitch Gazza used to come in once a month to make an appearance. They used to tie Mars bars to the ceiling and he'd work on his accuracy by trying to knock them down! Hillarious stuff. I remember once seeing a webpage about the funniest things Gazza did - one of them (not sure if it was true) was that he turned up at a pub in Hampstead after an england friendly at wembley to meet Chris evans for a beer and still had most of his kit on - just left straight for the pub!

I don't necessarily want to sway things but I think it would be nice to see another lady interviewed to try and keep a balance as we go along.
My vote is for Patience who travelled all the way from Scotland for the last JavFest so there's no doubting her passion for spear chucking!
I will put slinger's interview online asap - my laptop at home which I do all of the site stuff from has decided not to work again so I'll have to reload the software on one of my other computers to upload. Apologies slinger - have seen it and its well worth a read.

Also, just looking back at Dobster's and someone else's suggestions - is anyone in contact with Mark Roberson and know if he would be willing to answer a few questions for us?

Patience for me too! Not many people would come all the way down from Scotland to compete at Javfest. Also her passion for the event is great, and I know she puts a lot back into the sport, not least as an athlete, but coaching, officiating and being an all round good (scotch) egg!
