Glad I'm not the only one that's excited. There should be some real good battles out there this weekend - can't wait!

Glad I'm not the only one that's excited. There should be some real good battles out there this weekend - can't wait! I too am excited.......but only as I will be watching now! The right knee is now not working, and hurts, a lot! I was trying out Beepees method of trying to block, and I am sure I got it wrong......It was going so well, even Sadie said "Dad, you just had a block then!", but next time round the knee went one way and me the other! So, looks like I am out, and maybe not to return.......

after getting sun burnt on wednesday, yes sun burnt!!! - ok, i'll tell the story ;D i have been on sun beds in the past [yes i know going on them isn't great for you, so let's not start a debate on that! ;D] anyway thought i'd get a little colour for the weekend!so i went on wednesday and in an attempt to switch the damn thing on i think i must of turned up the "volume" ;D ;D ;D as man, that night i was a tingling a bit! anyway as a result i feel really tight and my skin doesn't like to be stretched, so i don't feel great tbh...........i know i have said in the past that i love a couple of days of just chilling doing nothing before a comp i think i'll go to the track tonight and do some real easy 30 - 60m strides to try and loosen off abit anyway you live and learn don't you! i really hope there are some good battles tomorrow, as that's just what i'm after to get the ol' adrenaline going again! it doesn't matter whether it's 60m or 70m it's all about responding to others challenges! anyone want to challenge me? ;D ;D ;D all i need to do now is work out the route to get there and decide a time for the 4 and a quarter hours in the car - on my own .........which tbh i am NOT looking forward to.

I'm up for challenging you Slinger - if I didn't think that I could throw further than ever before I wouldn't be throwing. Had a good training session with the godfather on Wednesday and did a few simple things that occasionally took meback to the form I was showing in March.
My distance is a bit of a lottery at the moment - could be anything within a 15m range but the exciting thing with that inconsistency is that the top end (if it ever clicks) could get me a nice PB. I'm happy with that at this stage rather than knowing I will consistently throw just under my PB!
Weather is now looking even better! Wind is still straight and has slowed a little but the temperature has now gone up to a forecasted 24 degrees with some bright sunshine! Fingers crossed out luck remains the same!

Exciting stuff fellas, if i could be there i'd be frothing at the mouth with challenges by now ,but as it is i wish you all good luck and good throwing. I've bashed myself to bits in training so i'll be resting up for a few days but i will spare a thought for you all between beers.

Bizarre, knee working....ish again! It must have been the excercise going up and down the Oche last night!
I will be challenging everyone near 30 metres! ;D
