We've now had the location for JavFest 4 confirmed as the Thames Valley Athletics Centre - Windsor (WSEH).
The event will take place on the 14th April 2007.
There will be lots more details to follow this week including timetable, prizes, and a special competition available to all competitors to win a brand new competition javelin!

Grays to Eton should take you about an hour.

Grays to Eton should take you about an hour. Unlikely. Given the choice, we had to go for Saturday or Sunday and since people will be staying the night after the competition it makes more sense to have it on a Saturday to avoid the need of taking a day off work. Likewise, we have to hold the event somewhere in the UK and we have been very lucky that our friends at Windsor have enabled us to hold the competition at one of the best tracks in the country for next to nothing. We tried Birmingham - would have cost over £1000 after necessary affiliations and insurance costs which really isn't going to be covered by £250 in entry fees. Milton Keynes was out of action and Bedford turned out to be less than helpful at this time. Given limited time to organise after Bedford changed their minds I think we're lucky to have such a good track to throw at and I'm sorry it can't suit everyone. Hope that as many people as possible can make it, was a great day last time, lots more details to follow on the website in the next few weeks.

Come on, Sam. I could do Grays to Warwick in 2 hours on a Friday night , so Eton in about an hour on a Saturday morning should be about right.

Just the driving action if you can't do it in around the hour! We all have to travel to meeting throughout the year and no venue would suit everyone. It is good there is a date and a venue so everyone can start working and planning around those.

We love the venue, even the 4 hour drive does not put us off, it is the fact that it is not on the 28th that stuffs us!
