Re Matti - he threw a 400g in school today (he was in the local paper and I told him to thank his PE teachers for sending him to the harriers - so he is now the official teacher's pet!) and he apparently threw it 69m - school teacher measuring I'm sure - but I woudl be interested to see what others have thrown with it. Anyone? He does lash it somewhat but I find the balance is all messed up.

I'd say 69m was a pretty good lob with the 400 given that they are not generally designed to fly that far. I've lobbed a few in the 75m range so not much further really.

I lobbed one a couple of weeks back off x steps expecting it to go for miles but it stopped somewhere short of 70m- pretty dissapointing really. I bet someone out there has thrown a decent distance with one though. Having said that i've never actually seen one that flys anywhere near decent so i reckon 69 is pretty good

most 400's fall out of the air like a moose being dropped from a plane at 10,000 feet!!! so there's very little point seeing how far they will go........but there are one or two slightly higher specced versions about, but tbh i don't think many people fork out over a 100 quid for one.
if you want to see things being chucked along way go and watch dan pembroke! ;D
