Oh, by the way, I'm aware that this sounded quite smartarsish, but I have just told you how to stick 10% on your pb by only changing your body position during the runup, and into the throw. Nothing magically technical about it. Don't dismiss it as just basics, cos it's the basics we all get wrong. What's the first things we are told: Get side on, body weight behind and throw over the top. Not too hard, eh?? Yet we all assume we do it, and so can work on the little things like straighter arm, sight line and straight left leg, etc, but we don't and the rest will not happen unless the basics are right. It's not the speed you runup, it's HOW you runup. Don't look just at the last few frames of video, but rather the setup before and therefore what is already in place to make that bit look really easy and then pick the delivery to pieces after that. There shouldn't be as much to tear in to then!!

Chers for the advice Mike. Its great to have a completely different take on things and what you are saying here makes a lot of sense. We've all got a session (those of us in the video) this Saturday with a local ex-world record holder so we'll try and implement these ideas along with hers in the next few weeks.
