In this weeks AW there is an article on page ten about the recent meeting of all the major league officials and organisations in bedford. they have begun a process to look at the fixtures for uk athletics. there aim in to get a better league structure and a higher level of sub elite competition. John Ridgeon chairman of the competition modernisation group said "we hope the ideas could be rolled out in the not too distant future.
one of the most interesting proposals is a summer long series involving the top 50 sub elite athletes in each event at different sites around the uk. therefore any of you guys over 50m might want to keep an eye on the rankings page and make sure you finish in the top 60 minimum by the season end next year ! seems like a fantastic idea to me.
