When I found out that most of the guys who came in the top 5 at the CAU's were throwing at the Loughborough International I could wait to see what they got up to. Now seeing the results... I would like to know how to get an invitation. I would have liked to throw, and I think I could have done well maybe getting in to the 70m range (70m01 maybe).
How do you get selected for those comps. I mean I have already got my pass for the AAA's but some of the other big comps would be nice!!

It is a disgrace... this is why when Steve Backley and Mick Hill retire at the end of the season GB will have no-one to follow...no dis-respect to those of youthat are throwing 70m + at the moment but you are hardly verging on the crest of the top 10 in the world (85m+) I'll find out what it takes to get into these comps...... REMEMBER there is the Festival on the 18th of September 2004......THAT ONE WILL BE BIG

A simple question - did you ask - following your throw at Bedford you should have given John Trower a call to see if you could get a guest slot. Loughborough managed to get Mark Stuart a guest slot. In my experience don't sit back and expect to get invited unless you have an International pedigree - Even Mark Robo had to ask to get a throw.
