Now if you havent noticed that on CH4 "The Games" venues that are being used are in my territory Sheffield. Don Valley has been closed down for 2 weeks and the purpose built EIS ( for the uninterrupted use of athletic training, club as well as the elite)has been closed down for this whole week also so that is two major athletic facilities. This resulted in our having to travel 70miles round trip yesterday to have a "lob" of the javelin, ok no great shakes I know but when you consider that the "Games" lot are being paid huge amounts of money to play at being athletes whilst you "real" athletes have to dig into your pockets to actually pay to train and compete and sweat your goolies off(sorry for being sexist girls) then it whole sticks in the throat somewhat. Who is being taken for idiots here do you reckon?

Now if it was a football or rugby ground I bet the media would be very interested but thats a whole new gripe!
I wonder how much the games are paying don valley and EIS, unfortunatly money tend to talk too much at track facilities.
