north of england championships senior men....
1. gerrard paish-plunkett 68.05m 2. me 67.75m 3. dave mckay 63.??m PB??
i'm very dissapointed in myself and my performance yesterday, but much more important and serious...david parker looks to have injured his knee - i'm unsure which one, i think his left, but i'm absolutely gutted for him.
i really, really do hope it isn't as bad as it looked yesterday.

I think I know why the record was relatively low (compared to all of the juniors who throw in thte SCAA) - I think it clashed with some of the county champs. AS I said before throwing as a junior when I was in Leeds going to CP throwing against Jensen and roberson and I threw 68 as a pb and they threw 70/and 72 but this may have been the seniors as they would have been seniors by then. I can remember throwing 64m and coming 8th in the SCC Seniors in 1985 when I was a first year junior with the old type model and this guy Darrel brand threw 84 or 86m haveing previoulsy thrown about 65m the year before. This is the same D Brand in the rnakings based in NZ - he threw 74.80 odd the next year and went ot the comms for england and was a man mountain!!!!
