Isnt it always good to shed off those extra fats tlingling on the body? Getting them off will make you feel more healthier, more happy and of course, life change for the better! (: It will even set good example for those young kids out there muching on those fast food and acumualting those disgusting stuff in their body. These are for the normal people leading normal life. For us, theres more excitment isnit it? Being lighter, faster and more explosive will aid our baby to fly further yeah? (i'm sure alllllllllll the guys here know this!). So, isnt it good to lose weight, or rather lose fat? haha. Also, posting a tread here will motivate further because we are here to go through this together, and encourage! For those who are losing weight sooo fast and unhealthly will result in some major problems in their health like malnutrition and stuff like that. Just to off off their ribs! Oh gosh! So, aint we sharing how to lose weight nicely and gracfully and not being obessed?

Thats very sad to hear Patience and i'm sorry to sound insensitive but this isn't a teen magazine this is 'thejavelinclub' I'm sure there are people out there with many different kinds of insecurities but if we start censoring our material so as not to upset anyones personal issues we really won't be posting very much atall!
I feel like we are wondering into a great big 'PC' style debate so lets please just get down to what its really all about, i want to hear from Sam. How are you getting on fella?

Fine, Wez. Carry right on. It's not about being politically correct but about warning of the dangers of obsessing over weight. Of the 3 I know of only one was a teenager and one was a bloke.

this is the way it goes...
all of last week i tried to just eat less bulk rather than change my diet completely. then on friday i went out to a chinese buffet with a motoring club. ate too much and when i got on the scales in the morning at the gym i weighed in at 108.5kg
SO from monday (easter monday) i shall be altering my diet 100% it needs to be done. I want to lose at least 3KG before Jav Fest 4. i know i can do it

I'll give you some advice Sam -
1. Give all your easter eggs to me ;D
2. Go to KFC buy a bargain bucket and think to yourself no way I'm not eating that...then give bucket to me
And 3. Refuse all barbecue food at Javfest....or give it to me.
Anyway good luck in your quest !!!

BTW - Trying to lose half a stone before next weekend will do you no favours - look back at the other thread I posted. what was your weight then and what is it now? Did the crash diet work? Crash Dieting will fool your body, and will have a negative effect! It will conserve more and make it harder for you to lose, and is bad for you. Take it nice and steady.

that would be steady for me.. when you have a lot to lose more comes off at first than someone who has very little to lose.. i'll mostly lose water in the first week

Sam can I just implore you to read some of the above posts that contain excellent advice and also as James has highlighted read your posts from last year.
Loosing 3-4kgs in a week is feasible and as you say will mostly be water loss - so you are going to compete dehydrated in that case. I think it goes that a 1% dehydrated state leads to a 5% performance drop.
Ypu have made a sticky distancing the JCUK from the weight loss fad, which is great, and you have made a few good comments in that sticky - so why not use that advice on yourself. Dont set a 1 week goal, set a long term goal, plan it and then stick to it. My weight loss took 4 months, was structured and healthy, I came out fitter and looking now at my lifting possibly stronger with more lean muscle mass - I didn't deprive myself of much (intentionally) I just changed a lifestyle habit, did some aerobic work for about an hour and burnt those extra calories.
Why not look at your lifestyle now, assess how much exercise you are doing, increase the aerobic activity after say each session for about 20mins and reduce one or 2 food types that are unhealthy - that way the weight loss will be more permanent rather the yo-yo crash diet experience which inevitably leads to extra weight gain after.
