knee is in good shape now, lost 3lbs in the last 3 days as part of my new "regieme" cleaned 90kg for 1 and just missed equalling my pb of 95kg.. not bad considering i haven't really doen any proper lifting since i injured my knee back in May last year

since i last posted i have had the following things going on
i contracted the winter sickness virus and proceeded to lose another 8lbs in 2 days then put the whole lot back on again
started training again and then after 1 week i pulled my right calf muscle and rested for 2 weeks started back training at the start of february. took the first week easy and then trained my arse off the last 3 weeks (compared to how i trained post injury)
I have been running at least 3 times a week and lifting properly once a week
I have benched 120kg for 1 rep (PB is 125kg) Back squatted 140kg for 3 (half squat)(pb is 185kg for 3 from about 6 years ago) Snatched 60kg (pb 65kg) Full cleaned 95kg (=PB) Tonight i hang cleaned 100kg which betters my hang clean pb of 90kg
I have cut down my food intake and increased my training load.. i have lost 6lbs (down from 18st1lb) and i have thrown about 53m in training off short approach (pb 54.93m)
i'm working on getting my right foot more active and also trying to stay taller on impulse instead of buckling over.
I will continue this in a new thread in the training section

Sounds good for a pb this year sam ;D Also don't 4get to keep up on the stretching as well,it's not that important how much you lift, but to be able to get in rite postion when throwing without getting injuryed From watching you throw last year, you hav the power, but you find it hard to get into the rite throwing postion.Work on this and you flexibility, you will find throwing pb's and late 50's,and poss 60m with ease ;D ;D From mid march i drop my heavy weights and work on 70% with less recovery in between each set. This helps me stay fit and work on my explosive part of my weights. This gives more energy to work on a better throwing tech. i hope this helps, keep up the good weight loss too cheers beano ;D

beano, maybe try having more rest between sets when doing sharp lifts? it'll give more time for the ATP system to recover - sit on your hands for up to 5 mins between sets.
more energy and being fit? should have been worked on for your heavy max strength phase and lifts during a basic cond. phase, you should and will be more than fit enough to go into a power/speed phase.
btw there are miles better S & C guys about on here than me, to help!
