Just wondering, Any one got any good exercisies for strengthening the adductor as mine seems to be made of glass It feels good at the moment but after mammoth javelin sessions it can be really sore for 3 days and sometimes upto a week. Peace

hi tyson have you tried the adductor machine in the local gym works very well all the best lee.

I can reccomend foot drags.. i think Nigel Bevan may have told me about these... move sideways dragging your foot to meet your leading foot. then step the leading foot away and then drag the other foot to it.. alternate your direction so that you work both adductors

Strengthening the adductor may make the situation worse. If you're getting injuries in that area, it may be because they are tight and need flexibility work. Doing strength work without this will worsen the condition! Also, if you have tight adductors, your abductors will no doubt be lengthened and strength work will need to be done here too.
Get yourself to a good physio/sports therapist to have a look at your one leg pattern. This will weed out whats happening to the muscles around the hip. If we give advise without seeing the problem, it could make things worse.
