I train down at croydon arena, but I dont have a javelin coach just the guy who coaches everyone so dont get full attention with frustrates me. i used to throw when was younger and have got back in to throwing now and want to get to 50m next yr as this is my 1st yr after about 9 yr absence. can anyone help? ? gemma

ok there are a few clubs in Surrey that you can contact..but if you are training in Croydon at the moment and you are located there some of these clubs might be a bit far for you to go I can recomend going to BlackHeath and Bromley..there is a good javelin coach there that coaches Stuart Harvey (1st yr U20 66.00m and Christine Lawrence (U20 44m) www.runtrackdir.com/details.asp?track=bromleythat link will give you all the details about the track and all the subsequent links you will need to get in touch with the club!!! ALSO it's about 15mins from Croydon's track.... Sam

There's also a fairly decent jav thrower based in East London!!!!
Can't remember his name though!! Answers on a postcard!!
But i'm sure he would be willing to help!!!
