I have a javelin for sale/barter.
It's a Nemeth 70 metre. A good spear. PM me if you are interested.
It's £164 new, but it isn't new, so I could probably work something out for you.
It should do the job for some winter lobbing

It's been 2 years since i actually threw last. I was throwing it around the 50M mark. My target this coming year is around the 50-60M mark. Im based in Brigg, a small town just outside of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

So that's the geography.
What about the javelin? People on this site will attest that I do good deals. Some would say bordering on the insane.
Probably bartered around £500 in exchange for £4k-£5k worth of spears over the last couple of years.
What goes around comes around. I've just acquired 2 new FX composites, a headwind and a tailwind for the princely some of £zero.

certainly though if you can stretch to it - see it as an investment! - that always makes up my mind when i look for excuses if i want to buy athletics gear to train with ;D get the best javelin you can afford - most of the top spec ones are much of a muchness and is really down to what feels best in your hand that's it really - personal preference.
ask to try a few of people's javelins when you train or maybe try and ask on here if some people would like to meet up and have a throwing session, so you can try a variety.
but if i was asked what spear would suit someone like yourself i'd say try a nordic champion - no frills, top end simple javelin, but nice and forgiving and will last forever should you wish.

Jezza i didn't think you had any javelins!!! so you won't be needing that old nordic champion of mine any more? i could do with it back pretty needy of a decent steel javelin right now.
