New video: August 2009: I preface this by saying these are just training throws - however this is the best I have been throwing in training in over a decade: Three Training Throws: 75m, 76m & 77m! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkBsLRbiiVQ

Good stuff - are those with the old style javs as they look quite 'floaty' - nevertheless nice clean hit for an old fella

Even better - great clean forward hit on them as well - nice lesson for all youngsters to observe - expecially the coach who posted a short while back about his lads javs turning.
When you over here again?
And when can we buy some of that javelin artwork you produce - there are a few pieces I would love to buy
Regards
Tom

I don't mean to sound as though I don't believe they aren't new spec 8's, but they don't flight like one at all and I am not convinced. Just my opinion.

Can you prove they are 75, 76 and 77m new spec 800g javelin throws? If I am being honest they don't look that far, but maybe that's the illusion of filming from the rear.
I know a way you can prove it though - throw that far in a legit comp. Till then I don't see the point in putting throws claiming a certain distance on youtube. A pointless exercise IMO.

That is one reason I am going to throw on the 26th? ? Rather then being concerned about the weight and design of the javelin (new rule 800g) and the legitamacy of the distance why don't you look at the positions I am getting in and look at the flight of the javelin. Maybe you will learn something. These are training throws yes - not competition - and they are my best throws in a decade. I took my shirt off so that the positions I get into and out of can be clearly seen. I am throwing far in competition (72.49m in 2009) and now even further in training - I am 47 years old, 5ft 10" and have never had a single surgery or any problem with my knees, back, shoulder or elbow...and I throw off 7 steps. I trust I'll see you on the 26th - care to make a little side bet that i can and will beat you? xoxox

Nothing new to me, I've seen you throw on vid many, many times. Technically you were and still are very good. Fundamentally it's pretty much as good now as it's ever been and nor have I questioned it with regards injuries or anything else like that so why you mention that is beyond me. The second post I never even questioned the legitimacy of the Javelins - although until I see it in some official competition results somewhere [preferably a UK comp] then I'll have my doubts that they are mid to high 70m throws, as like I said they don't "look" that far from the video playback.
As for your playground antics - I'm not interested.
