Alright, i think i got it. So, a few things, aim lower, nice high up throwing arm, rhythm and agressive impluse a more efficient block?

The most important thing for you is to keep your arm in position until the plant leg is down.
The throw really begins from the transfer off the final right foot, it turns over that then initiates the hip strike which in turn drives you onto the left plant and only then does the arm begin to pull. If you managed to keep the left side of the body blocked off you should find the jav exploding out of your hand and yourself catapulted over the left plant leg.
Thats what i mean about the sequence its right foot, hip, plant, arm. In you last vid it was right foot, arm, hip, left plant. When the sequence is wrong you lose alot of momentum from the runup and you also collapse away and lose basic throwing power too.

Hi to all! right, its another easy week here and just did a test this afternoon. Not in the best conditions, but quite fine. Results OH forward, only managed a 15m OH backwards' a pb, 18.78m SLJ's a pb too. 2.80m 3bunnyhops as well, 7.89m, a new pb too. 5 strides bound was kinda disappointing., only 13.18m
I think i strained my back a little after slj. Having a really sore left lower back now. How i feel? I dont feel that mush power as before tbh, i feel kinda wobbly on the upperbody. Dont seems to be aggressive. Legs' great. I feel light and fast, doesnt seems to connect well to the upperbody. No videos this time, sad to say. Phone was out of batt! I did whole test alone. Measuring, and doing the exercises. Tough!

disappointing lol You've pb'd in 3 tests and another 50cm onto the shot throw is awesome. Don't expect to move up in such huge jumps as before, if you could you would be the worlds most powerful javelin thrower in 12 months. It just doesn't work like that mate! The improvements you have made are very encouraging and you should do even better after your 2 power cycles. Just take care of that back now and get it healthy again before you push yourself once more. How long have you been feeling that the legs and upper body are not working well together. If its just this day then its no big deal but if thats more of a general thing then we might need to look at some additional core work for you. Keep up the excellent work fella, you are doing me proud.

a few weeks, i've been feeling the "disconnection". yeah, need lots of core work. been neglecting a bit of stability work i always do for warming up, because i dont have the time to do so, like rushing back school and stuff.
anyway, thanks for the encouragement, mate! (:

SO have you been doing the core work after the strength sessions atleast? You can't neglect it and still do the other training because you will just end up injured whenever you try to use your newly aquired power. Core= very important especially if you already have back trouble

i think i neglected that abit, i have to confess! i use to do some body stability work as warming up, and since school started i dont really have time to do those 'time consuming' exercises. yes mate you just reminded me of having a nice core while throwing. been a little too slack about that i admit!

hello everyone, i did some throwing on the lasttraining of rest week which was yesterday. Alright, i feel everything's very smooth and easy tbh. I refuse to think too much, just let it flow off. I still dont feel my arm, yup. one more thing, i realise my left foot is planting a little too wide open, to the left. The throws yesterday was pretty good, though it didnt flew really far. But at least, the javelins werent flying that high anymore!!!!!

Ok so heres how it goes, follow the training program as planned but finish all heavy sessions atleast 7 days before you compete. In those last 7 days treat it like an easy week, but a very very easy week. You can practise runups and drills and technique without throwing particularly visualizing your throw in your head and watching throwing videos. Light stretching, light cardio and light core/conditioning exercises are also ok. Lifting, throwing, shot, sprinting, jumping are all banned and please give yourself plenty of rest and whatever you do stay away from all high intensity exercise and do not do anything that will make you break into a sweat. The last 2 days before competing must be total rest and relaxation. You should arrive on the day of the competition feeling bright, fresh, very well rested and ready to throw your heart out.

look after it and bit of rest won't do you any harm, only fire the desire.
