Yea my back is making a slow recovery thanks. i think i have another couple of months before its good enough to start throwing again. but i cant say for certain if i will compete next season. really depends on how fast it heals in terms on being able to train also we shot this before my injury so throwing a kitchen sink didnt have any affect on the back. but thanks for your concern

Yeah, but pete is like as old [and as wise] as yoda mate.
huffy, please tell me you didn't do that bare footed? - haha chris is the zola budd of the mobile phone throwing world! ;D
re discus styling it - I just don't think they'd create the speed of release compared to a javelin style - maybe if it was a del boy trotter old school brick phone and weighed a couple of kilos then yea! as it'd be just too heavy to throw javelin style!!! I'd like to be proven wrong though could be an interesting idea to get a few people together maybe some cricket guys aswell, but we know they that they are crap generally - hilly, Dave, backers etc offered people like devon malcolm [bloody big bloke him!] a comp in SA one year when I was there......they declined!

so matti you don't think doing these stupid things could be why your back is so bad at your age.

no its not because of those random throws. its because when i was throwing i was wrapping so i was torqueing across my back really badly and injured it

and what exactly would you say your body is doing when you are rotating with a kitchen sink hanging off your arms.

it not the same at all.... throwing a javelin and rotating i am planting into a straight left side and pulling across torqueing my back and not being able to get out of it because of the fixed position of the throw and the force of it
throwing a sink i am spinning putting little strain in my back because i am not fixed, do discus throwers ever get bad backs?.... throwng a kitchen sink has nothing to do with my back being bad

hahaha!!!
Matti that sounds so funny when you read it back mate - you are describing javelin throwing in your first sentence then the next describing throwing a SINK! ;D
Sam I wouldn't bother arguing, he has said that he didn't hurt his back throwing anything that day - end of.
