Interesting to hear that you have been 'holding back', Amber. I've not heard of anyone doing that before as most throwers tend to give 100% in every comp. Hopefully it will work for you.

yeh i no... english champs i went for it but since ive been holding back a bit, in the sence that i havnt been training as hard, and ive tried not to throw as much so i dont hurt myself, not as in holding back in comp!

Amber - why do you think you would hurt yourself? Have you hurt yourself throwing before? and if so, what are you doing in the way of injury prevention? (core work/technical work etc)

yeh when i threw at english champs i felt it in my back again so was laying off it abit thought it had just been pulled and then i felt my shoulder on sunday, so im just worried about making it worse b4 i get there lol. just trying to rest it for as long as possible

If your back and shoulder hurt then you may be doing something in your technique to cause this. For your back I would suggest you work on core exercises to ensure that it is as strong as possible. Your core is what holds everything together, so if it is weak all sorts of problems can happen! Your shoulder is probably ready for a rest if you've had a long season!
However I would discuss your aches and pains from throwing with your coach to see if he/she can suggest technique improvements to prevent this.
