thanks for the comments matey, is there anything to modify though, i just realised that i forgot box jumps and perhaps i am not using the most common names for each exercise... criticisms would be welcome.
Other than that lets get the other articles done and we'll have a real pro resources section.
in my mind these articles still need to be written:
Stretching (dynamic-static)
Conditioning and injury prevention
Weight training
Specific strength and over/under weight implements
basic weekly training programs
preparing for competition
any volunteers or has anyone els finished their drafts yet?
I think i might be capable of having a go at the weight lifting one although i don't believe that i am the best choice- if there are no other takers i will have a pop.

We've totally failed at getting our resource section complete before the winter, does anyone fancy adding to it One thing that might be a good start would be a couple of basic training plans, one for a junior and one for a senior athlete. There do seem to be plenty of inquiries about training schedules etc so its clearly a need. I don't mind helping to add more stuff but i don't think my knowledge is as complete as it could be so i would need a bit of help, any volunteers. I know Nije has already produced some resources himself that i'm sure could be adapted to fit nicely. Sorry to nag you guys but i think it would be aces if we had a JCUK rough guide to javelin throwing that would be such a positive move towards improving the level of general spear knowledge at club level, lets face it most clubs don't have half the info they should.

Wez,
Please feel free to get this off the ground. Most of the ideas are jame's ideas and we then go about trying to find time to get things done, but, with both of us being full time workers and then training and trying to have a social life it get's tough to get all the ideas we have into practice.
JCUK is here for everyone to help everyone.. if you see something you can assist on then please, by all means do it!
Sam

I know you guys work hard to keep the site up and running so i'm appealing more to the others really, i already have written 2 articles one up and one waiting for james to put up (plyo one) but i think we should endeavor to get a full compliment of JCUK written articles. As it stands we have shot training for javelin (by me) and throwing technique (slinger) i think we need to add, training plans, weight training and a couple of others.
It ain't easy finding the time to do this stuff but i strongly believe its worthwhile, javelin throwing is a mystery to alot of kids and their coaches. Having an online resource where its all put together in plain English would be a big boost for them, at the moment the info out there is scattered and often contradictory or confusing.
