I no what you all are saying, but i want to feel good going into a competition. I enter alot of comps, probably too many so this year me and my coach have selected a few. I no that sometimes a masive throw pops out. At the AAA'S last year in the first round my throw went over the 40m line but unlucky that it was a foul. Sometimes a massive throw pops out. I'm only 14 and I have so much to learn about the event. I'm getting to terms with sometimes you have bad patches and also good patches. But I have so much to learn from the event. There is so much to learn about Javelin. I recon it's the hardest event to MASTER in athletics. After all Steve Backley said he had only 2 PERFECT throws.

There is a lot to be said about the dangers of over competing. If you are planning a competition at a weekend, surely it makes sense to do the competition where you will be challenged rather than the comfortable one where you expect to wipe the floor with everyone.

I don't enter easy comps. I am competing this year in the YAL, THE WELSH CHAMPS, WELSH SCHOOLS , AAA'S and if I get selected the CELTIC GAMES and SIAB SCHOOLS. I'm not a person who competes against easy competition. I always lok for competition. I am entering the Woking Games because I no i have a challanger. It's about 4 hrs away but i'm entering it. And the AAA'S has got to be the hardest comp around for a 1st yr U17
