hey good stuff that! nice series too, shows consistency and we all know what consistency brings..........big throws, personally i think for the UK 65m is a very good standard for u/17's and he's already done that, 66 - 68m is excellent and of course over this and it's outstanding.

it's good to see people finishing the season with some decent marks and PB's as it really does give the athlete a big confidence boost going into the dark, hard long winter months........

Bonne was injured durring the warm up. Not sure what happened, as he just seemed to pull up on his warm up run up for no particular reason. First Aid came, then the physio or doctor was sent for. They treated his right calf and perhaps right leg through to the 4th round.
The EDM broke down towards the end of the 4th round, so there was some delay to the comp, but it all got going again.
It wasn't particularly windy and I would have sworn they were throwing into a slight breeze, however, some of the track results show that the wind was behind for some of the time.

I'm sure that Thomas threw at the JavFest at Eton this year (Luke's younger brother). He's a great young lad and certainly knows how to throw a javelin - very impressive to watch. A star of the future?

Ashley Bryant had a 58m+ throw at the English Schools combined events yesterday at Derby. I'll try and get the exact distance once they post the final results.
